We are a licensed and insured family daycare located in the Patchogue area. Our top priority is to provide the best possible care for your little one. The daycare is owned by a mother of a toddler and an experienced early childhood educator who is dedicated to creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for children. We provide licensed care services for children from infancy to age 5, as well as after-school care, under the supervision of OCFS. We participate in the CACFP program to ensure children receive nutritious meals and snacks. Our curriculum-based activities support each child’s development, and our home-like environment makes children feel at home.
One of our goals is to provide affordable care for families without compromising on quality. Our family daycare offers a cost-effective option for parents, with rates that are below the market average in the Long Island area. Additionally, we accept DSS payments for eligible families.
Our lesson plan is curriculum based. Our activities are focus on enhancing the child development from birth to five.We are a dual language program therefore our lesson plan activities include activities in English and Spanish
Our daily schedule includes Storytime, outdoor play, sensory activities, and exploration, among other engaging experiences.
Children learn best through play. That’s why at Baby Steps, we ensure that we provide age-appropriate developmental activities that allow them to learn while having fun. As a mom myself, I wanted to create a place where children can feel loved and safe, while also being affordable for parents. Our program believes in partnering with parents to create a strong support system that helps children thrive, by providing activities that promote their social, emotional, and physical development.
One of our highlights is that the children will experience continuity of care because we are a family daycare.
About Ms. Jen: With nearly a decade of experience working with children and families, Ms. Jenniffer knows firsthand the importance of quality childcare. Her background spans private daycare and federally funded educational programs, giving her a well-rounded perspective. Frustrated by the limited options for affordable, high-quality daycare for her son, Ms. Jen decided to create a solution. Armed with her education in child development and extensive hands-on experience, she launched BABY Steps Bilingual Family Daycare, providing a nurturing environment where children can thrive
